Angel Maker Challenge

I am supporting a wonderful endeavour by Alison Chandler-Bird, who has created a website called Angel Maker Challenge to make it easy for people to go food additive free for 2 weeks from 19 November 2012. Please note that if you are already following the Failsafe Diet, this will be an additive free challenge and not all the recipes may be strictly suitable for the failsafe diet, but there will be menu plans and lots of info readily available when you register. If you are interested in starting the diet or have friends that are, this could be a very good introduction and step in the right direction. Starting out additive free can be very daunting, here all the hard work has been done for you.

Alison discovered that additives such as colours, sulphites and glutamates were causing her 3 year old daughter’s extreme defiance, tantrums and eczema. Since then, she has been on a mission so that all families can access this information and easily determine if food additives are the cause of their health and behavioural issues.

Her website includes easy to follow information, recipes, access to experts and an online diary to track your improvements. So head to Angel maker Challenge and register – IT’S FREE!

I am contributing some of my recipes and I will be assisting on the Angel Maker Challenge forums by answering questions.

Observation begins 12 November. This is a week of simply observing what symptoms are occurring for the members of your family and preparing for the challenge.
The Challenge begins 19 November. Lets’ go additive free! Time to cook according to your meal plan and have your additive free snacks at the ready. You can ask questions of our experts and continue to record improvements or setbacks in your online diary. Recording your progress enables to see just how much of an improvement you are experiencing.

Here is a list of symptoms of food intolerance. Anyone in your family suffer from headaches, tantrums, bedwetting, and eczema? Check it out. This can seem overwhelming, especially if you are not guaranteed results. Many people who choose to do this are desperate and are willing to give anything a go to improve their family life. One way to look at it is:

What is the cost of not getting to the bottom of my child’s behavioural or health issues?

How much time am I spending arguing, feeling overwhelmed, literally ‘pulling my hair out’?

These 2-3 weeks could transform your life and the life of your child. And all you need to do is some preparation and cooking. You would do this much preparation to go on holiday! The Angel Maker Challenge is your chance to go on a permanent holiday from what you are enduring at home. Get your kids involved. Create a game for checking which foods in the supermarket are ok. Shopping may become fun for them! Invite them to cook with you. The possibilities for family cooperation and participation are endless!
